LÆSØ BENCH
.
2022 // A group project
The Læsø Bench is inspired by the community and traditional materials from the small Danish island of Læsø.
A particular focus is placed on eelgrass, which has been traditionally used for thatched roofs on the island's houses for generations.

The furniture is made with eelgrass, and the textiles are dyed using it as part of an experiment. The bench is extendable, symbolizing that there is always "room for one more" in the community.
